Another way is by buying raffle or lottery tickets. One popular raffle that is held in Toronto is put on by the SickKids Foundation. Every year, lottery tickets are sold in order to raise money for local Toronto hospitals. Not only do you get to support a worthwhile cause but there is also a chance of coming away with a really big prize. Lottery tickets for the SickKids foundation are sold during the months of May and June each year. Tickets cost $100 for one ticket. They can also be bought in packages. You can get three tickets for $200, five tickets for $300 and ten tickets for $500. Whatever you feel most comfortable with giving, the SickKids foundation will gladly accept.
Prizes for the SickKids Foundation lottery draw vary. They include both cash and prizes. This past year, the main grand prize was 1 million dollars in cash. There are also other prizes such as smaller cash prizes, trips to destinations all over the world, watches, brand new vehicles, and television sets. All very impressive.
